Programs

There are various ways we reach out to teens, creating an environment with opportunities where relationships can begin, grow and the love of Jesus Christ can become rooted in the hearts of teens.

Campus Life: This is what we call our weekly clubs

  • A YFC program for high school students that provides a way for them to make a positive difference on their school campus
  • Regular “club” meetings featuring music, fun, discussion of stuff kids are thinking about, and a talk about how Jesus Christ fits into the center of life
  • A  team of adult staff who begin “where kids are” and build friendships, listen hard, show respect, and share their own faith story
  • Small group opportunities to learn more about God, grow in faith, share activities
  • Area wide events, retreats, trips and camps
  • An approach that seeks to connect students to the church of their choice
  • A GREAT WAY TO REALLY MAKE A POSTIVE DIFFERENCE

Adventure Program: Involves camping, swimming, hiking, horse back riding, taking care of a horse, learning to trusting your fellow teammate and learning about God.

Conferences

  • Excel: Youth for Christ’s annual conference for High school students and their adult leaders. It combines praise and worship, prayer, drama, comedy and music with strong biblical teaching to bring you to a life-changing encounter with God..

Reverb: An all-night student happening, incredible sporting events (usually a hockey game), an interactive “AMP TIME” rally, a humongous pizza party, plus non-stop excitement throughout the night with activities like skating, bowling, basketball, arcades, go-karts, and more.

Teen Night Out: These are large group activities at various locations in the area. Pizza, games, snacks, crafts, bonfires and Christ centered lessons.

ABC’s = Activity Based Clubs: Small group opportunities to learn more about God, grow in faith, share activities, which they learn from Christian adult volunteers and staff.

Day Horsemanship Program: For girls in 5th thru 9th grades interested in horseback riding. A day program from 9am to 5pm for a week.

Bike Trip: Each year we pick a different area of the Northeastern States to visit. For example, in 2010 we visited the Niagara Falls area. We were transported from Oneonta to Western NY State and rode our bikes through portions of that area for five days including stops at Letchworth State Park and Niagara Falls.  Then we were transported back to Oneonta on the last day. Along the way we camped out at different campgrounds, had bonfires with skits, games, songs and swimming.

Parent Life: A program to support, encourage, and equip expectant and parenting teens with the life, relationship, and parenting skills they need for them and their children to become healthy emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually and to become successful and responsible adults.
